Preliminary Task

- This school magazine is very basic and contains a big picture which takes up the whole page. It contains the school name and logo at the top of the magazine to show who the magazine was made by. The image is bright and contains many students from the school in which their friends and family's will want to read up and see why they featured on the front cover.

The image for this magazine takes up the whole magazine, however the main focus of the image ( the girl ) is in the center to get the main focus from the audience. The name of the magazine is located Central at the top in which people will know the name and want to read it.

 The name of the magazine is located at the top of the magazine in which the audience immediately will be acknowledged the name of the magazine. The image is a of a student or teacher which would attract many peers to read to see what their peer has been up to. There are many cover lines on this magazine to try and attract as many people as possible into reading the magazine.

 These are my 1st hand draft drafts for front cover of my magazine, this was necessary to decide on which basis for a design idea I would use. The main idea I used was to contain a image as it was needed by the specification, cover lines as these are found on most magazine covers to increase the realisticness of my magazine, date and web address also would help make the magazine look more approbiate and realistic to a audience. This is one of my 1st stages in production of my magazine.

These are my draft ideas for my mast head and cover lines. The mast head is needed as it is what the magazine will be called and all magazines must have a catchy/good name in order for audiences to be attracted into giving the magazine a chance. I have came up with numerous cover line story's in which varie from music to sport - these ideas are not definitely going to feature however on my magazine but will give me more of a idea in what to include. I didn't come up with that many mast head ideas but I believe they are good the ones I have came up with, "Schools Cool" is very catchy due to its rhyme and will appeal to the children it is aimed at.

These are 2 more in depth image ideas for my magazine, both are taken in mid-shot meeting the specification. The top image features a student receiving a high grade with a shocked/happy face to show his emotions at this point. This would appeal to audiences as it may be there friend or they may be pleased for the child and want to read about his story. The 2nd image is off a student playing Guitar in mid shot, this will appeal to many students who especially like music and have a interest in it.

This is my final image idea, I will use a mid shot of a male holding a trophy looking proud and happy to show what he has achieved. I believe in showing the trophy it will attract the audience as they may intrigued and excited by seeing it and want to read on to see what has been done to receive this reward. The male should hold it above his head to look proud and give a good image of them self.

Here is my final brief design of my school magazine cover, it shows the layout of what i want for my final magazine cover and even a couple of the potential cover lines. Also i think the mast head and sell line are in a good position as it is easily noticeable and very suitable for a audience reading.

This is my final magazine cover it is suitable as the picture is well edited to remove the background in which it helps enable the magazine to look more realistic and appeal to the audience. I had chosen to use a bluey background as it fitted in with the text colours really showing the text clearly.

This is my contents page it is good as it is basic and would feature what is in the magazine with a related image on both sides of the page. The magazines name features down the right hand side of the page just to ensure the reader will always know what the magazines name is to boost its popularity and reorganisation in the market industry.

This contents page has the main title in big font located at the top to tell the audience what page it is. All of the context is located on the right, with the page numbers being in a different font colour to stand out so the audience can easily see what page they may want to jump to. Their is a sub-heading next to each number then a brief description to follow to explain briefly what is on the page.

The context is located on the left in which it tells page numbers and what is on the page like the previous magazine, different font colours have been used to display important information in the blue. There are images which contain numbers in which page they relate to also on this page, the images are big and eye catching to intrigue the audience.

This contents page contains the title name located at the top of the page, this is due to it being the 1st thing a audience will generally read and they need to know what page they are looking at. Like the other magazines there are images on the page in which display the number of the page they relate to, their are numerous images to try and attract audiences to at least one story. The context is featured on the left, it contains the page numbers in a different colour to stand out. It also contains subtitles such as "tips n' tricks" this must be regulars in the magazine and sub sections parts of it off to others.
